Here is something different to add to your milk day eats, and great for the colder days and nights that are quickly approaching. Heat 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic in a sauce pan, add 1 cup of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder heat, and enjoy. Don't knock it till you've tried it, sounds strange but believe me its absolutely wonderful!!!

You can also add that thickener stuff, XG for a thick creamy milk chowder.

Best to all
Atlast.

How long did you heat the milk? Did you use the XG thickner?
Going to try this on my milk day tomorrow!
Sounds interesting that's for sure.
I'll let you know my verdict ;)

Hi Cruisin,

Sorry I took so long to get back to you but my laptop batterry got fried somehow and I finally replaced it and am back on-line.

I heated the milk maybe 5 minutes, I myself do not use the thickner. Let me know what you think.

I made a similar version of this last night. I chopped up 3 green onions, minced 1 clove of garlic and sauted them in a pan until the garlic started to brown, then I added a few tablespoons of water to simmer them more until they were soft. Then I added 8 oz of milk, 1/2 tsp. of XG, garlic salt, onion powder, pepper and at the end I added about 2-3T of fresh dill. Whisked it all until it thickened.

Even my husband liked it and he's not even on a diet. He saw me making it and had this "ick" look on his face, but when it was finished I had to keep him from eating it after I offered him a spoonful.

I went a little further with this.

"Try the gray stuff.. It's delicious"
8oz milk

1/2 white onion chopped
3 cloves of chopped garlic

garlic pepper seasoing
creole seasoning.
pinch of cayenne pepper
salt and pepper
fresh thyme

season the onion and garlic before putting in pan with salt and pepper.
sautee the onion and garlic in about 2 tablespoons of water until soft and browning.
add a liberal amount of garlic pepper seasoning to help make a broth.

Add milk and stirr it in to make a real broth. add cayenne, salt and pepper to taste.

add thyme when milk starts to boil.

I found it spicy and filling. very nice.

anyone guess the quote reference from?
