V, that's funny--you with your digestive problems and me with my migraines. We'll have to compare notes and laughs at the visit next Thursday.

Hi B,

I wish you could hear the conversation at the table when it became apparent that as I were having such a problem (?) I was having a cup of ice coffee with whole milk and honey for dinner…

If there ever was a more bizarre remedy for digestive problems, I certainly never heard about it. They will be telling their kids and grandkids for weeks about how crazy I am…

Such is the price.

They are going home in the morning and I will have a peaceful day with my husband, my beads and my dairy.

Have a good day tomorrow. Hope your migraine gets better (!?!)

Day 14 Loss of .5 Total weight loss 12.5

Moment of glory---the day before I started this program, I was at Nordstrom's looking for dresses. Nothing fit. I could get a 12 zipped but I looked like the Goodyear Blimp. Two weeks later and I went back and bought size 8's of the same dresses that I couldn't wear before. WooHoo....
If my Nordstrom girls are on here, thank you for noticing!

Hi B,

Congratulations! THIS IS WONDERFUL!!!! You really are kicking (you know what)...

I can just imagine how this must make you feel.

The dressing room is in fact the place “where the rubber meets the road”. Zippers, they are stubborn little fiends…

When I am weak on motivation, I go to the dressing room of a fancy store. I do not even have to buy anything, just to get into a smaller size and imagine how much better it will look in 5 pounds…

In the meantime, I finished my second dairy day. Hurray! So far so good. My husband bought a bunch of fresh farm veggies and I am looking forward to tomorrow.

I do not weigh myself every day now, just the morning after two dairy days and the day of my appointment with Dr. Nash.

Waiting for your next report.

Monday morning and....no weight loss for 3 days. Hmmmm....This is cycle 2 so I expected it to slow down. But I think I contributed with one meal after 6 on Friday and probably not enough water over the weekend. I'll be much more focused and compliant now. Good news is that I don't have to think that I need to exercise more! :)

Great moment over the weekend: My friend was with me when I went to get those dresses shortened. The first dress is sort of a hippy flowing one, not body fitting. The second is not flowing and when i put it on, my friend cried a bit of happy for me. The dress is fitted and showed a waist AND NO BELLY. He knows over the years how hard I've tried to lose even a pound, so PSYCH!

Well, off to a couple of days of yogurt.

Enjoy all
Bonnie

Hi B,

If I remember correctly, the cycle you are in is all about inches (and sizes). I think Dr, Nash told me (when I was in the same cycle) that I would lose fewer pounds but more inches…
He also told me at that time that I would noticeably look smaller… AND I DID!

That is probably what you are experiencing.

As far as I am concerned it is not about the weight as much as about size, energy, health and (to be totally honest) -- vanity (?)

Anyway, you sound very happy and you certainly deserve to feel this way.

Your success is inspirational.

Have a good day tomorrow.

Yes, V...I am very happy about this. I have a whole new 'brand new with tags' wardrobe right in my own closet that has been waiting a long time for me.

I feel great and I like my reflection. No more dodging store windows so I don't get a glimpse of myself. I, too, don't care what the scale says...I know when I am at the point I want to be.

See you tomorrow night,
B

Hi B,
Or should I say the younger, slimmer, healthier, happier B with a closet full of new fancy (small) dresses?

I certainly know the feeling!

When I first lost the weight and changed from size 14-16 to 6 and 8 and even some 4 (which I am sure were not the “real 4” or maybe they were) and started to buy clothes from shops where most things (no matter how much I liked them) never fit me right… I was tempted to wear my new outfits with the size tag on the outside…

Now I am used to it.

All I have to do is -- stick close to the maintenance plan and come back to Dr. Nash for a few weeks every spring (or once a year depending on what is going on with my life). And I get to stay FIT!!! …

Congratulations again!!!

I am also looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night.

Day of reckoning....scale at Dr. Nash. He's always higher than my scale but that's OK. I'm going by the loss on my scale, not how much I weigh. I'm also going by the fact that my clothes are too big.

Can hardly wait to see what the ball schedule is for cycle 3. Two hours on the first was OK, but every hour and a half on the second was crazy. Seriously, how time flies when you're on the clock for that.

See my girls at the office tonight!
